We arrive at Traumug Chrum Village on Jan 14th and are greeted by the children privileged enough to go to the elementary school. We bring them crayons and drawing pads and teach them how to use the material. After much encouragement a few begin to draw. I show them how to draw a duck and many copy the exactly. In this remote village they do not speak Khmer, but Cham and are a Muslim community that are continually being lured by the more strict Islamic Muslim groups. The Lightman's are trying to preserve there tradition and language without stings attached.
